Common Ground

Common Ground is a Tampa Bay–based indie rock band formed in 2023, made up of two married couples whose friendship fuels their creative chemistry. Known for their playful motto, “Some oldies, some newies, some country, some goodies,” the band reimagines songs across decades and genres while seamlessly weaving original music into their live sets.

With three original releases ranging from indie pop-rock to heavier alternative tones, Common Ground’s songwriting captures distinct stages of life and relationships with honesty and energy. Deb Ruby & June Bunch

June Bunch and Deb Ruby join forces as a duo rooted in poetic storytelling, rich melodies, and a deep reverence for the natural world. Blending June’s vivid, narrative-driven songwriting with Deb’s meditative and ethereal sensibility, their collaboration feels both grounding and transportive—music that lingers long after the final note.

June, originally a street performer in Asheville, began writing and performing as early as 2013, building a devoted sidewalk following with songs shaped by travel, wilderness, and lived experience. Influenced by artists like Joni Mitchell, Nina Simone, and Adrianne Lenker, her work paints cinematic landscapes drawn from deserts, hurricanes, backroads, and the quiet wisdom of the natural world she has studied from the Arctic to the tropics. Deb Ruby, an established presence in the Bay Area music scene, brings a soothing yet intellectual depth to the duo’s sound. With touches of Americana, the romantic lyricism of early Joni Mitchell, and the troubadour spirit of the Lilith Fair era, her performances captivate, calm, and enchant.

Together, June Bunch and Deb Ruby create an intimate, harmony-rich experience—thoughtful, nature-inspired, and timeless in spirit.
