The Wandering Hours

The Wandering Hours are a Tampa Bay–based string band bringing a fresh, original voice to traditional American roots music. Blending old-time, early bluegrass, and folk influences, the group creates a sound that is both danceable and lyrically rich, appealing to longtime fans of string music as well as first-time listeners.

Formed in 2018, the band builds its warm, energetic sound around fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, and upright bass. Their performances combine thoughtfully written originals with carefully chosen songs and tunes from the early American string tradition, honoring the past while adding their own spirited perspective.

Speak Easy

Speak Easy is a Tampa Bay–based four-piece band that has become a vibrant part of the local music scene since forming at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in 2017. Known for their upbeat spirit and engaging live shows, the group has performed across Florida and beyond, including appearances at Gasparilla Music Festival, Clearwater Jazz Festival, Jacksonville’s Finn Fest, the St. Pete Pier’s 4th of July Festival, and international rock and blues festivals in Ecuador and Mexico. They have also shared stages with national acts, including opening for the Plain White T’s at Chapel Chop Fest.

The band has released several collections of original music, including their debut album To Make a Man (2024). Their song “Ain’t No Need to Wonder” was featured as the music and running visual for NPR Tiny Desk’s 2022 contest compilation, selected from hundreds of entries, and their work has been highlighted by the Tampa Bay Times and Creative Loafing. With effusive lyrics, danceable grooves, tasteful guitar work, and tight harmonies, Speak Easy delivers a feel-good energy that connects instantly with audiences—blending classic musicianship with a modern, sunny disposition that wins over fans of all ages.

Smoove Jams

As two residents of Tampa Bay, Smoove Jamz is a duo consisting of primary members, Jamal Hasan on saxophone, & Mwiza on vocals and guitar.

Smoove Jams brings forth an Indie sound that encapsulates Jazz, R&B, Folk, & Rock tones for an alternative resonance all their own. Their musical musings are heart-led, yet upbeat, with new twists to well-known trendy beats to quench the thirst of those who seek music with meaning that seems new, yet familiar.

Smoove Jamz began their musical journey in St. Petersburg, Florida as street performers, experimenting with melding Jamal & Mwiza's musical backgrounds to create a cohesive sound. This lead them to start performing house concerts & private events to venues such as the James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art, Grand Central Cathedral Cigars, Hotel Haya, Grand Central Brewhouse, The Whistle Stop, Bar @548, Iberian Rooster, Ringside, The Blue Note, & then to festivals such as Tampa Bay's Veg Fest, Sarasota's Veg Fest, and Localtopia where they performed in front of the mayor of St. Pete, Ken Welch.

Originally from Oklahoma City, DJ SenorOteb is a versatile mainstay of the Tampa music scene with over 25 years of experience. He has performed everywhere from clubs and festivals to weddings and curated brand events, working with clients such as Water Street Tampa, Macy’s, USF Moffitt Cancer Center, and Double Branch Artisanal Ales.

Known for creating memorable, high-energy sets, DJ SenorOteb blends entertainment with intention, crafting musical journeys that connect people to the dance floor, and to the moments and memories that music brings to life.
