Whether you’re strolling through the neighborhood, shopping, or dining at one of Water Street Tampa’s restaurants let the music set the tone for a perfect night out.
Miguel Mockabee is a blues and roots musician out of Tampa, Florida. With his band, R. M. Johnson & The Tomcats, he plays a variety of blues music, ranging from Chicago blues, Texas blues, blues-rock, and jazz blues. When he’s alone, however, along with the blues, Miguel plays a mix of country and Americana, taking inspiration from the icons of Outlaw Country, such as Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash.
With soulful vocals and raw, acoustic performances, Miguel is able to connect with the audience and bring them into his soundscape. Whether it’s feeling like you’re in a 1930s juke joint or a Nashville saloon in the 1970s, Miguel will transport you across eras with his music.
